New to the site. Training centers/advice?

Hi everyone im new to the site…

Im looking at learning C and C+E, i live in the doncaster area, i have looked at the following training centers…

L&T (fitzwilliam)
D.A.C (rotherham)
Atlas (Doncaster)

I initially looked at L&T who offer complete packages where as the other 2 offer seperate paid lessons.
If anyone has dealt with these companies or any tips/advice i would be much appreciated.

Is Doncaster too far from Mansfield ? - I am thinking of the Peter Smythe training centre …

We get many candidates from Doncaster and miles beyond. Like ourselves, L+T have their own test centre. Well worth visiting trainers to see the differences.

I travelled from Newcastle to Chelmsford for my training

I travelled 128 miles each way to do my class 2 with Peter Smythe at Mansfield. I then did it again for my class 1.

I recommend you visit his centre before you make a final decision.

If an hour’s drive each way bothers you maybe HGV driving isn’t for you.

I went to visit L&T yesterday and took them up on the there starter package (medical, Theorys, Provisional etc)
just need to put a few quid together now to start while i went for my provisional.

Better get some overtime in :smiley:

It’s best to have at least 2 or 3 assessments at different training providers before you choose.
