I have quite a vast knowledge of the slowness of DVLA processing. lets say apart from my provisional licence i got when i was 16, ive had absolute crap response times in regards to letters…etc being sent back. so i’m not too fussed. just an annoyance if anything as i want to get on this training straight away!

It ook 5 mth for my licence to come back but after I was a little economical with the truth it took 3 days :wink:

Was on 1st name with some of the staff at DVLA :unamused: :unamused:

Im doing ok atm thanks getting there & now back driving full time

The insurance company like you to be over 25 for some reason

There is no shortage of drivers that is a myth btw

you want to better yourself then dont go into driving as the pay isnt that good tbh

Guess what! got my povisional back today, and to be fair there aren’t any differences on the photocard part of it, it just lists the Provisional entitlements on the counter part:

C1
GH

not too sure what they all mean to be honest, but it has C and C1 so it’s all good.

and the fact you say pay isn’t that great, to me it does seem quite alot, at the moment I’m a gardener and also work in the kitchens at a restaraunt, and do not even reach 200 per week, So from my current situation i’m pleased at what could be earned.

Also when I get a full licence and have eventually obtained my Artic and have the necessary experience… would companies mind if i take my boy across europe with me? As doing long haul across europe is my main goal and something i want to aim for. I know it will take awhile to get into that type of work but my boy is a bit too young at the moment so time isn’t a problem

C= catogory for vehs over 7 1/2 tonnes

C1= vehs between 3 1/2 tonnes to 7 1/2 tonnes

Well Done for getting the license back so quick. Like others on here mine took around 3 months to arrive.

G is for Road Rollers (Limited weight I believe)
H is listed as tracked vehicles… I assume that means I can drive a tank on the road :laughing:

Good luck with your training. I have mine coming up in the next month to 6 weeks

i got my theory on tuesday, so fingers crossed, which reminds me…

i have 2 tests booed. i dont have my letter infront of me .

but i know one is for my theory and hazard perception, and the other is a seperate one, is that for the pcp thing?

and if it is, what if i dont pass my theory? am i able to sit the other one anyway?
