Hi guys, been following a lot of stuff on the forum but never posted, thought i’d bite the bullet and say hello to all you smashing bunch,
I’m atramping driver on class 1 based in glasgow, currently working with an agency since i passed my class 1 last year, enjoy the job, just keeping the faith that a permenant job pops up, suppose agency is better than a dole cheque though, anyway i hopefully might bump into the odd member on here at some point in an RDC in britain some time.

Good man, it is certainly better than a dole cheque. Agency work is fine if it suits you, there isn’t any great advantage of a full time job other than you know what your doing each day. You sound a positive kind of fella like myself. Welcome to the nut house.

Yes careful who you listen to fella, there are lots on here who have fantasies’ about being a driver. They will usually give out dumb advice like “Better jobs come once you get yourself some experience” even though you haven’t actually asked that question. Odd isn’t it. You will get used to them.
And beware the drivers who think they are better than most and state they have a plethora of certificates of excellence in all things technical but don’t come across with the proof … no names no packdrill but …

Experience gets you a permanent job, trolling on trucknet doesn’t.
