I went with easyas HGV…£1100…
included theory book, DVD,… theory test & hazard perception test…
5 day course, started monday, test on friday.

I have since foud out it is cheaper going direct to training company

john

ye i was thinking of easyashgv but noticed theres a few training companies near where i live. what was the driving like and wat did u fail on?

The lorry was bigger that i though lol, by day 3 I was getting the hang of it, some of the roads in the town centres & country lanes were very tight,
Take your time & dont panic lol & you wil be fine,
I had a 2 serious…too close to parked cars, & looked in the wrong mirror 1st when pedestrians were waiting to cross at an Island,

It was a goo experience though,

john

Good luck koikeeper with your test

This is what i learned in & will be doing my test in.

john

Is that an ERF ECX? I’ve never seen one of those as a rigid, cool

Chris, i think its really the front of an artic…I thinl it pulls a trailer the same size as that on the back.

Anyway , what ever ii is, it huge lol

john

It will have drawbar equipment so they can attach a trailer for the C+E test i’d imagine yeah. Was just a little confused as I thought they only did the ECX as a tractor unit but having just googled it it turns out there are a fair few rigids knocking about.

They wont give you price as they dont know how many days you need as it not 1 size fits all some people need more than others its like asking how long is a piece of string  this is why they have assessment drives to see how you can handle / confutable you are with the said vehicle

Nice truck koikeeper, its good that you’r doing your test in the same vehicle as you trained in-will you have an extra day training before your test this time

Hi B/L

its usually 2 hours before the test, but because they kept changing the dates the have said start @ 8.00am …test at 1.30pm,
so about 5 hours practice, hope its enough lol

Its great that you have the extra few hours training /practise before your test, just keep calm & go for it - you should get it this time, Good Luck  …Hey , dont forget to come back & tell us all how you got on

Good luck with the test

Are you doing it at Darlington  as you using Teeside Training what they like

Yes the test is at darlington, through the town centre, around the country lanes (very tight :open_mouth: ) & up the A1,
I cant complain about teeside transport training, they are very proffessional, Bill Smith my instructor is absolutely spot on.
