Thought Newry was a Tesco store as i am delivering there Thursday morning with bakery equipment.

Or was it on the Belfast Rd as you come out of Newry on your left close to Ardmore PSNI station as that’s just a new big Tesco Extra store to open in June 
I heard it was Sainsburys going to Newry as they are going to take the NI distribution contract off DFDS
(they are making a balls of it 
) and run it themselves, also a Newry DC is handy for when they start expansion into the South 
The trucks/trailers already belong to Sainsburys so they just need to get a DC and some drivers/wharehouse monkeys

Why do you say that Mazzer ? I wouldn’t think it would affect them in any way ?
I believe that Stobarts only have the Tesco Eire contact not the Ulster one, apparently you hardly ever see their vehicles in the North.
Tesco run their own fleet in the north at the moment. Chilled out of Belfast and ambient’s out of Antrim. Was in the Dublin depot at Ballymun the other day which was all Stobart.
Tesco won’t be moving from either Belfast or Antrim DCs to Newry anytime in the short to medium term. 
There are sitting@ Boucher Rd in a corner a pile of new chill/freezer units/fans etc that look rather expensive ready to be mounted on the roof to replace the worn out ones already there.
They are also tendering for two new extra bays to be installed around the DC.
Antrim is plenty big enough to cope as it is.
