Saw a polish “fleet” spec one in Clackett’s yesterday.
I’ll be honest, even with the black plastic bumpers (well, you know, the terrible Merc Greyish black!) it looked good.
Driver saw me looking, gave me a thumbs up and said “Good truck!, I like”
He had a McDonalds large size cup in the cup holder so it must be a pretty good size.

I think the new merc looks the part, but I’m with you on the Stralis. Great truck, just needs a couple of weeks to get used to then your’e converted. Must be a Stralis thing, cos any I’ve driven in the past, especially the one I had for 18 months seemed to go like stink. Nothing got past me on the motorway with it.
saw a 6 wheeler thursday evening in stobarts wrap, looked very smart, but these 4 wheeler low rides are for me the best looking truck ive seen in a long time…

agreed, first truck i had was a stralis, 54 plate so it had the gear stick instead of the buttons on the dash, and i fell in love with it. Also interestingly i found hardly anything used to pass it, and our fleet of stralis’s were all the same, like s**t of a stick…
There’s plenty of them in the compound in purfleet deep wharf, nice one in their with a full set of alloys on also plenty of those “eyesores” as well in there.

Also seen a 12 plate Stralis all wrapped in Stobart colours yesterday. It looked pretty smart too IMO. Don’t know if it was a one off, or weather they have put a few on the road.
I saw one the other night parked southbound side of the A1 below Red House Ferrybridge area, looked ok, prolly the same one, did wonder if that was one of those franchise chaps, also saw an MAN TGX wrapped up couple of weeks before, just waiting to come across an old Stratocruiser now for a good laugh
I think the new Merc looks awesome in the dark grey silver, and black, not sure how bog std white nd plastic would look tho ■■?
I drove the 450bhp gigaspace 6x2 we’ve had on demo, and the following day one of our 12 reg current model megaspace and gotta say I preferred the current one. It felt far more comfortable and better laid out. This could of course be because I’m more used to the current one!
