I find it very unfair that on my resit i had to go with the new DSA shorter reverse pad , Was told by the training company that i would re test at the same distance as my test , but not so examiner moved the cones , i got one practice an that was it i managed to get in the garage on my test but it threw me an i failed !!

Do you mean you failed on the reverse or something else? It was made clear to all training companies by post from the DSA that the new size area would go live on Monday 26th March.
We have now had several Cat C tests on the new area with no problems and I tried the drawbar myself with a C+E student today for the 1st time. It really is so much easier than the old longer wider area. With the C+E the technique needed at the start of the reverse is exactly the same but once you get the left lock on and straighten up, the trailer is virtually pointing straight at the finish box. A very small amount of left lock to bend the trailer in and job done.
I loss the plot i think , lost my composure forgot to apply my handbreak at a stop sign ,an i failed on this !
Did not think you had to apply hand brake as long as you came to a complete stop, unless there is traffic coming obviously.
I just held it on the foot break , my fault !
What box did he put the serious in ?
junctions , observation ,no obaying a stop sign .
I agree with LGVTrainer that the new dimensions are so much easier, less travelling for anything to get out of shape. Hard luck on your test though, I’ve been drilled to use H/B every time I need to stop at red lights, stop signs, zebras, and chavs with child buggies trying to walk under trailer wheels.
