I’ve just bought a new full european truck satnav. £68.00. 7" screen. Does everything a snooper does exept tv.
The big brand names are just ripping people off.
I’d post the website details, but i think it’s against forum rules.

Phil,
It’s only against forum rules if you have a connection to the company.
There’s no problem saying that you bought something and saying where you bought it because it looks like something that might interest other people.
I’ve been looking and can only find £2-300 ones I’d be very interested where you got it from?

he works from home in Heysham. So if anyone works out of the docks up there it’s handy.
i ordered mine at 15.30 on thursday, and it arrived first thing friday morning.
Just go on ebay, let us know how your sat nav is in 6 months time.I have a cheapo and its fine after 2 years.
Identical one on eBay for £48.99.
I have one from the same place, when it’s working its quite good, however it is prone to freezing and does mess about now and again
I got a Fleabay cheapie also 7" with bluetooth, fm transmitter, European maps, defined vehicle dimensions etc for just £47 delivered.
Brilliant bit of kit…
I got a new Philips road atlas with bridge heights from Amazon last week, doesn’t freeze up, instantly ready for use, never loses the signal, superb bit of kit, still prefer the AA version for ease of use but they don’t appear to be publishing updates any more.

I use one of those but it’s useless with weight limits…

Got mine through seems to work well, half expected it to takes ages to pick up a signal as I live in the country but it found one straight away. So far spot on
I’ve the snooper truck mate with the TV, think it’s the s8000, I love it, I did see the cheaper ones on eBay etc but I always believe in getting what you pay for,
There must be some difference in quality, maps or being user friendly etc,
I may be totally wrong but it’s just me being me I guess,
Your right as I have both, whilst the snooper has its faults the other one has far more!
That just it, I’m sure they work fine and for the price there great value for money but they wouldn’t compare to something that costs around £350,

Same here, Chris (and Moose). I just shelled out for a DB8500 on the same reasoning. No major gripes so far!

Is this the model with the build in dash cam.
I would be interested to see how folk get on with the newer snoopers as I’ve had mine since they first came out, I think it’s the s7000 with dtv and 7 inch screen, whilst it’s been reliable it still works but needs updating badly and the power socket has worked loose in the unit
I often do some cab hopping on nights where there can be a shortage of maps so I bought a cheap sat nav to keep in my work bag but it seems a faf to use so I have often used the one on my phone!
