I can see that the Gov are in a mess with newer cars being converted to electric, but not with older ones.
Can`t see where back tax is being sought though?
But I did get a bit distracted though… The BMW 2002 thread is brilliant. 
I didn’t get around to seeing that BMW thread, think it was another site I read about DVLA wanting back tax but I cant find it again, It was also mentioned in a YT channel I follow about all things electric vehicles, There’s a small section at 15:43 minutes youtube.com/watch?v=OWanzuEkWno

I do find the idea of retrospective taxes, after the cars owners had been honest, and it is the DVLA changing it`s mind very troubling.
Really goes against “natural justice” and I would suspect a few lawyers are sharpening their quills as we speak.
(I have a soft spot for Beemers, and nearly bought a 2000 coupe many years ago. Not as iconic as the 3.0 but still very nice.
