New road m4 port talbot

About 20 years to late but hey ho!
Been open couple of weeks now cracking road.

I use this most days, coming in from the west, into the steelworks, and back out heading east. It cuts about 15km off my journey, and saves about 20 minutes driving by not having to go up to Margam, and back down again.
Not as much traffic on it as I thought there might be.

Completely off topic, but kind of relevant. Somebody recently told me that the car park next to the railway crossing in central Newport that used to allow HGV parking overnight now has signs up saying no overnight parking. It was never the most salubrious area to park, but was within 5 mins walk of a pub and a chippy. I once sat in my cab and watched an amateur boxing match there…I never knew it was 2 submissions, a knockout, or a kick in the ribs!

I’m guessing that you use this new road to get into the steelworks now.

Correct, there is a new gate, but it is now further away.
