Rear Window is gone, and so is Storage under the Bed.
As Shift Worker i used that Storage to put my Thermo and Sandwiches in. Fridge is anywhy too small for anything.
Rear Window was helpful for reversing in over left Shoulder.
Power Mode is gone, and that is good so. Got once overtaken on Slip Road when i was in Eco Mode. Both we were empty goin to same Place.
Empty, ha,… Lift Axle not going up in new Renault when third Trailer filled with empties. (3000 kg). Now,its on you to judge if im empty or loaded when i run on 6 Axle towards a Hill. Try overtaking me with 3000 kg and 460 Bhp
The Radio has no Display and its quiet complicated to change anything during Driving till you get used on it. Also the Buttons and Wheels underneath the Steering Wheel you need to find first
The Seat seems beter, but not going back that Far anymore, and the Window go up or down but hard to stop in the middn.
The Lights in the Console in high of Tacho i liked from First Moment. But you need the Reading Light to shine on the Tacho to read anything on it.
One Coffee Cup Holder is gone and 2 500ml Bottle Holder are gone.
No Carpet in Middn,so Bag is slipping around, and you cant leave anything on top of Dashboard,as it leaves on first Bend.
Now. I miss the Storage,Carpet,Bottle and Coffee Holder, and Place to keep Mobile,Pen and Glasses.
The old was practically, but the new seems just a Show Model.
Did you mean to post this in broken English?
Thats how you read it. Yes. Sorry for that

Hi Immigrant
I am pretty sure rear window is still an option should it of been chosen on order and the under-bunk storage definitely is. It looks like you may have a very basic spec truck.
The factory fridge (which would be fitted in the under bunk storage) is large and cold and again a separate bottle holder is available.
The only thing from your list that you couldn’t have at the moment is the carpet for the small hump is the middle, because there isn’t one yet, although i believe you can still buy Premium ones that will fit.
I too have had a mid-lift lifting issue and I’m sure this was fixed by a download in the garage, I can find out if you need.
The steering controls for radio and cruise etc really do need to be explained and take a little while to get used to, that’s why we do a thorough handover on all our trucks and follow it up with the driver a few weeks later to see if they have any questions.
Thank you please.

The under bed storage is ample I think, I can fit a medium sized holdall, 12l of water and a tub of adblue in it no problem. You won’t have underbed storage due to having a fridge, as they take the same place…
The radio display is on the dashboard. The tacho is a pain to see, no idea why its so dim.
The seat is far better than the Premium and its heated.
Lack of drinks holders are a pain. Plus everything goes AWOL as soon as you look at a bend if its on the hump or dash.
The new one is far more practical than the Premium. Lockers are a decent size and the top bunk can be made to be an excellent sized storage area.
It is gutless if you let it do its thing, use manual mode and a bit of forward planning and it pulls well.

Power mode is not gone. What the hell are you driving.
You dont need to read the tacho, its all on the dash. Learn how to work it before you slag it of.
Great Truck
■■■■ knows how much whinging you would have done if you would have had to drive a ScanIa LB81 day cab doing 4 nights out a week

I think you’ll find power mode is a software setting and some buyers specify the truck without it.

Ah so, would make sense i suppose when your in the game of saving fuel, not trying to use it as the fastest rate possible.
Everyday is a school day.
Sorry but the old premium in which I spent untold hours and miles was good apart from the handbrake on the tunnell not the dash was a good truck the T series is fantastic ( and I hate the french ) it’s quiet very comfortable I love the electric handbrake that releases when you touch the gas pedal (miltidropping london imagine ) all round fantastic .

The vast majoity of T Range tractors will have ‘fuel eco pack’ - power mode inhibitor which removes the power mode found beyond the point of resistance of the throttle or in laymans terms disables kick-down mode. The pack also introduces eco cruise control with 3 changeable settings. Opti-roll allows the vehicle to use momentum while the engine is at idle revs and a disengage compressor is also included in the pack as well as a variable flow steering pump.
Having said that I would imagine more than half of the 8x4’s we sell don’t have it selected so you could both be right
Thinking back wot we had 20 Years ago i miss them old Lorries.
But Time goes on and the one who buy them just see Numbers and dont need to drive them.
Had Yesterday a 63 Plate Premium.
First i missed the Bottle Holder in the Door, then the Interior Light.
Bottle was then put next to Bag in under0Bed Storage i pulled out. Then unexpected i never found the Exhaust Brake after 2 Day with the 65 Plate. Seems i like it.
Otherwise,… They pay me to drive and dont ask wot to buy. So we just have to get on with it.
Ahh. Yes Opticruise we have in the new. selected it in both,as im anywhy not in a hurry.
But, Had to go from Ditcote to Leicester with A43 closed. Da Headlight is Rubish High Beam on sharp zig zag Bend and you still flying Blind. On the 63 a tip for tenth of a Second and you have the full Picture.
Anywhy
I loved the DAF but wouldnt change the Renault for a CF
And then. You know wot our Company did to a 63 Plate Premium? They fitted new Fifth Wheels on everyone which wasnt perfect. Wot you say to that?
Have to drink on the Companies Health,i think. Never had that by a Company before.
At our depot we’ve just changed over all our four year old Premiums to T460s with the Optifuel pack with Eco Cruise and Optiroll. Running empty the Ts are more thirsty than the Premiums (also 460hp) but loaded they’re as good if not even slightly better.
After three months and arund 60,000km per unit our main problem has been with the night heater/climate control module. Six out of 14 trucks have already given problems with the night heaters refusing to stay on and sending the ventilation system into chaos. Other than that glitch the drivers are pretty keen on them so far.

My major gripe with these is the reflection of the dashboard in the driver’s window at night. Its really bad.
I do really like mine, apart from it being probably the ugliest truck on the road. Ever. The inside is brilliantly easy to clean and the space is decent enough for a week out. If I could spec my own one, I’d want outside storage for corners and straps, other than that it’s hard to complain.
Seems poor on fuel and thirsty with the adBlue to me though.

If you turn the brightness down on the dashboard it pretty much eliminates this problem and takes all of about two seconds.
Its a shame the rhd and lhd models are different. Lhd has two more bottom lockers outside and a lovely flat floor.
I love my 520
Drove a 14 plate T for a month, before the XF arrived. The only real bug I could find, was the lack of decent storage inside, and the lack of useful cubby holes. The fridge is very good (keeps frozen stuff frozen), but oddly shaped, to low for anything other than 1 pint bottles.
Bed and seat very comfortable. Loved the steering wheel, once you get the hang of the wheel and toggles. Didn’t get to grips with the radio remote though.
If it wasn’t for the XF106, I’d still happily be driving the Renault.
Thank you please.
