New Merc Actros

I’m guessing they had a few left over when the new one was launched, i would say the price was very good in comparison to the new model

Kerbdog:
At least it’s a megaspace ! It will be like living in a mansion compared to the terraced house that would be your MAN !

Definitely - I’ve moved all my stuff in, have stowed it all away, and still have loads of storage space left - will have to start my Christmas list now!

One assumes its the same for trucks as it is for cars. The manufacturer will put on a spurt of the old model before closing the factory and tooling up for the new one. There is probably oversupply as operators waited to see the new one before opting for the (much) cheaper old one.

These curtains are bloody heavy when there’s only two of you fitting them!

Signwriting next week, then off we go. Am off to Bracknell / Heathrow / Langley area tomorrow, with a different trailer (tatty old one, silver with a blue rectangle), so if you see me give me a wave

Nice looking truck you have there…

Looks tidy now it’s completed…how long are you going to keep it like that  If the cup holder is no use then i’ll stick with my cramped Scanny 124M 420…that’s got a nice little holder for my travel mug  :sunglasses: . Rygors in Reading had a brand new black one for sale 5/6 weeks back, chrome trim and I think it was badged as a 2549 (it was dark at the time!). Don’t know if it was ‘fully loaded’ but it was bang on 80k

The plan is to keep it as clean as I can - I don’t like to see a dirty lorry, and as I get paid for washing it, it’s a no-brainer really. As for the cup-holder, I’m not sure what the problem is with it, I’ve been testing it a lot today and not had any problems

Oh dear…thats the older MP3 and not the new MP4 he thought it would be  . Bet that’s took the shine of it! Still a nice motor though

On the bright side, apparently the only [zb] bit is the cup holder!

It’s true!! :grimacing:

couple of the m.a.n.s at our place have the big subwoofer speaker, but its too bassy. (i know, never happy)

have you tried altering the bass setting? there might be a separate sub setting

i did mate, yes :grimacing:
to get it at a decent level, i turned the bass down to minus 4, and it still thumps :open_mouth:
scrolled through the menus on the headunit, but can’t find a seperate setting for the sub.

They are making both models side by side for a while it seems, seen a few 62 plate older shape ones around.

Probably just getting rid of the old stock pile ?

Would hate to think of the depreciation of a new old model but then suppose their going to be a lot cheaper than the new one

If i wasnt getting a giga-space new model, i would want a mega-space old one like the original poster has got.
They seem (new ones) a bit gay if not a giga.
