Hi all, Just joined Trucknet and so thought I would say hello. I am a new HGV driver, well new Artic driver. I’ve had my C+E since 99 but test was done in wagon and drag and then never drove another wagon and drag since. I was in the Army so it was for driving bedfords and trailers. Well I’ve been considering artics for ages and kept finding an excuse not to try it. Well I finally decided to do a driving assessment through an agency I joined 3 weeks ago and it went really well. I am now driving for DHL/Homebase through an agency and enjoying it. Still getting my head around tachos and drivers hours etc. In the Army you were told where to go and when to stop, no tacho’s or drivers hours.
