Under the new standards, HGVs, buses and coaches must now meet Euro VI emission standards or pay a daily charge of up to £300.
These new standards will apply across most of Greater London and will match the emission standards of the central London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).
I believe these apply to anything over 3.5 tonnes.
I’ve included a map but I cant verify its accuracy.
The red zone is the ULEZ.
The LEZ is enforced via cameras so you cant dodge it.

I also want to know if there’s a going to be a 30% reduction from Nox with this, what about the other 70%? I assume this is cars and vans so he isn’t going to touch them and thus won’t make any difference at all.

Personally though, I dont like that some people claim or imply that Sadiq Khan is not English. He’s like 3rd generation I think. I believe His father was born in the UK and his grandparents moved from India to here.
Also Stamford Hill area is basically full of Orthodox Jewish people. But no one claims the jews are taking over. (Aside from global conspiracy theories lol).
I work in London a lot so I know what you mean though.

They’ll probably just make the central bit “Sponsored by Tesla” as anyone living there can likely afford 3. Just hopefully most of the other cities won’t follow suit beyond possibly snowflake ones like Bristol and Bath.
Other comments very spot on about why it won’t change. Not totally sure how far his powers go but the more “religiously ethnic”* central bits aren’t exactly known for their one person one vote policy so he’s guaranteed to win.

Many years ago, I used to work in central London, in the Post Office. As a young pup I didn’t understand why everything carried a surcharge in the pubs and shops. The publicans always explained that the cost of premises is more expensive in central London. Also the unions would chip in, that’s why you get inner London weighting of £1300 p/a. All this was just noise to a young buck! My point is, now with CC, ULEZ, LEZ, DVS and a whole host of other taxes, (and that’s just on transport) the actual cost of things in central London MUST be unaffordable for the grunts! I thank my lucky stars, (and my sandwich box) that I no longer work in central London, or pay for anything should I have a delivery in there.
