Hi all.
Well, iv’e been working for quite a well known builders merchants for the past few months full time. Im 23 and was fortunate to be given a chance by them using a HIAB. Anyway, been enjoying it but its become a bit tedious doing house deliveries etc so kept my eyes open for other opportunities.
A few days ago a rang up a local bulk and block haulage company to enquire about vacancies. The woman i needed to speak to was in a meeting and would call me the following day (wed) . So on Wednesday, whislt being loaded in my yard, a lorry from the said company i called, pulled in. Nice chap, had a chat with him, he’d been there over 10 years, so cant be too bad. He asked for all my details and said he’d pass it on a put a word in when he gets back.
So on Thursday, i get a call from the woman who owns the company asking if i’d like to pop in for a chat on Saturday.
Went in today, met her and her husband, really nice people. Its a family run firm with a fleet of 60+ motors. A mix of tractor units, draw bars and class 2. Cut a long story short, after being shown around and everything explained, iv’e been offered a new job and they said when class 1 work or draw bar becomes avalible, they will give me the opportunity. 
Just thought i’d share my news as cant stop smiling. On probation still where i am so only a weeks notice too.
