at last ive finaly got myself a new job specialist uk and euro work it took long enough but everything comes to those who wait or so they say :laughing:

Well done,what kind of work will you be doing,and to what countries will they be sending you to.
Dont forget the last 28 days worth of tacho records,if you have been off work,or on holiday,illness.The attestation activity form must have no hand writting on it,down load from the tinter web,and the boss will stamp it.
No photocopies of truck papers,and the letter to say you have permission to drive in Europe.

Get a Halfords cheap bike to put in the trailer,or take the wheels off to get it in the cab,yes i sleep with a bike,lol,and some bar bell weights from Argos,to keep in shape on a boring 45 or 24 hour weekly rest,i never sit in the cab at the weekend,get away,do 40 miles on the bike,find a nice place or town to visit,the eastern euro lads will sit the wheel all the weekend,curtains across,if that floats their boats,but not mine,cabin fever will set in.
On some road maps,picturesque roads are highlighted in green,i would aim for that,some times there is a river to swim in,and the locals will picnic there,and most of France,will have medieval cities and villages to explore,find a bar,and have some sherberts or five,or six,what the hell,you are paid to be a tourist.

Ask your fitter to bolt a safe in the truck floor,under the bunk,to stow the paper work,cash,cards,fuel cards,passport,if you have to leave the wagon,or a sturdy bum bag will do,it looks naff,and from the 80`s,but at least you get home,if the wagon is broken in to.
Lock the doors while on the pumps,in Calais the Turks will pay 20 cents a litre,while you pay on the firms cards,it is a scam to avoid.
