Ruddy risky.Regarding warehouse workers - would wonder where the catch is as never seen a general warehouse job above £9. Got to be very odd hours, working in hostile conditions (eg freezers), umbrella agency or part time which tends to pay higher hourly rates.
Done a bit of warehouse work over the last few weeks, and to say it’s varied is an understatement, anything from picking and packing to yard labouring comes under warehousing and there’s no real pay increase for having FTL.
Most are through agencies and pay approx £8.40ph usually a 12 hour shift on a 4 / 4 shift pattern, some 40hrs pw mon - fri with occasional sat work again no pay increase.
Bit ■■■■ but it pays the bills
