Well after passing my class c in Feb, got the call all newbies wait for last night…the jobs yours & you start in 2wks. To say I’m over the moon is an understatement, having been on 7.5t multi drop for 3yrs moving onto national general haulage in a 26t should be interesting !!
Like so many newly passed drivers on here, after sending out loads of cv’s, emails & knocking on doors I was beginning to give up hope. All I can say is don’t, everyone’s time does come & if you can try to stand out from all the other people knocking on the same door.
I will post a blog on how it all goes on the first few days
Good stuff, congrats. Quite a few new class C drivers on here (me included!) have found work at the same time soon after passing. Great to see some positive news!
Cheers, congrats to u to. Looks like a few on here are getting the nod from companies despite being new to class c. Long may it continue for all the others on here trying to get that first step on the ladder.

Nice ,currently looking to do my cat c at the moment .I am working for a small courier company doing 7.5t and van work ,he’s just bought a 18t and a 28t so i want to get my cat c so i am more useful and earn more .looking for prices on a cat c if you have any idea?
Cheers Martynh, in the north east area you will get quoted around £750 for 2to1 training by a not particularly good firm & about £1200 for 1to1 in a modern full size 18t. Cheap is not the best, if you can, I would visit a few firms & check them out in person to see what you get for your money.
I’m looking to take my class 2 as soon as possible, being in the SW I found one trainer who charge 675 for a 3 day course, can’t be that bad as they were recommended on here
congrats m8 I’m chuffed for you. hope it all goes well! truth be told there ain’t a lot of difference between a 7.5 and a cat c, they handle very similar. take it easy till you get used to it and you’ll be fine.
sounds like you will be going all over the uk? should be more interesting than multi drop lots of newbies are getting a break recently, I’m trying to start a thread that may help out some folk, don’t know if there will be any interest though.

Fantastic news. If you are any good with a camera and uploading pics, a picture diary goes down a treat on here

big difference between 7,5 t and class c . size , speed , everything , ive just driven both today , 7.5t feels very vunerable if there was not much difference my boss would be chuffed to fill my 18t , with the same amount of fuel the 7.5 takes
