New (ish)

Good evening.

Been “prowling around” the forums and thought now is a good time to introduce myself.

Having gained my Cat C and whilst undertaking my first paid driving job in August 2013 i unfortunately i an accident and fell from the tail lift causing a serious head injury resulting in brain surgery to save my life ( literally).Cannot remember much but having made a full recovery and recently having my Cat C entitlement returned i am once again hoping to gain some experience before moving on to C+E early in the new year.

I hold a full time, non driving job and wondering what opportunities are out there for casual type work initially? Having been in contact with a couple of agencies over the last few days they appear to have plenty of work ?

The non driving job cannot count as rest for the regs and the hours done in that job must be officially recorded in any week where you came under EU regs
Separate analogue card for each day worked with your name date start and finish times on each is the easiest way to do that
After 29 days the cards can be binned

Generally if you work mon to fri then you can drive for one day every other weekend
