Congratulations on the test pass. You’ve posted in the right place as you should get answers to “newbie” questions on here. First answer: you can get charts in truckstops BUT it’s the employer’s responsibility to provide them. Always make sure you have at least one spare. Some employers will issue, say, 7 charts at the start of a 5 or 6 day week. The reason that it might be handy to have your own is to save time, especially if you’re working agency and you find some jumped up office clerk who hasn’t got time to find any for you.
Certainly, if you have a regular job, there is no way you should ever need to provide your own - but (as I said) make sure you have at least a spare or two.
Hope this helps and fire away with anything else you need.
Thank you Pete, really appreciate your input
I unfortunately in the same boat as some other newbies having to wait for the dreaded licence before i can get a job.
I was after some for me personally as i do a lot of car racing and i am looking at an Aa style truck. I am itching to get out on the driving front its always been a passion but it was saving the money to put myself through it! I only had 3 minors i was really pleased with myself
