I believe they call them ‘‘lockdown dads’’ now 
Saw one on Friday after an XG. It looks better than the pictures. It was on trade plates on the M42
I put a few pics of them in the DAF BEAUTYS thread
I tried playing with the configurator on the daf website but they won’t show any prices. Like I’m jeff Bezos, I want one - price is no factor! I was trying to see how much each ‘extra’ costs but nope, you just configure your order and mail it to a dealer - wtf kind of business is this :_)
We have ordered two should arrive next September
I’ve driven a 71 plate DAF for argos.
They are ok for DAFs. Still prefer the new generation Scania’s and Volvos though.
I think I’d even put the new mercs above the current DAFs even with the stupid mirror cams.
I just don’t like the stupid gear selection lol. They are definitely a quieter ride though which is nice. As the last DAF I drove before that was a 63 plate prime mover which was just a POS.
DAFs for me have always been reliable but basic and kinda cheap feeling.
I saw a couple in Turners of Soham livery about 3 months ago, but haven’t seen any since then.
