Shame they didn’t ask one of the chain gyms to get involved, turn a good screw I bet as I for one would love to be able to dive in if on say a 45, get some much needed physical release, grab a shower, maybe even some clean food too.

So basically they want the work, and the money but not those that make it all work■■? Typical council reaction to everything then.

Whatever happened to the so-called lorry park that was to be built at shell garage just before the bridge? Nothing ever came of that & building still sits empty!

Same applies to Dover, it’s a ■■■■ disgrace that there are no proper and adequate truck parking facilities around there, given the number of trucks passing through it daily.

Okay maybe the RHA/FTA should start lobbying MP’s and doing what their paid up members pay for, and as we’re now the nation’s 2nd Favorite after NHS) emergency types…
But we know it won’t happen, as RHA/FTA are next to useless when it comes to actually fighting our corner,
Drivers will never get anything done look at all the bickering. Someone was moaning about free coffee the other day. There was a lady complaining 2hy her husband was still working. There is no unity at all
Robroy mentioned no facilities for drivers for Dover , I agree on that , why do UK drivers accept lay by parking with no toilets and washing facilities , where as in France , they have de repos or rest areas every 20 km’s on their toll roads .
The UK government considered doing the same as the French with rest areas on motorway’s but that plan has sunk quicker than the Titanic .
UK drivers must love high fat food , as that’s all that’s on offer in their parking voucher, and if on SNAP no meal is included in overnight parking .
Once tipped your load in the UK , it’s Fox-trot Oscar leave the site , whereas UK delivery sites could provide overnight parking with facilities which would help out if run out of driving and duty time .
But you can’t blame them , I have heard of companies providing shower facilities for visiting drivers , only for the brain dead minority to ram their boxer shorts down the toilet pan then block the loo to flood it , you can’t win .
And excrement and faeces shoved in to the shower drain .
