New driver

well I am a new driver to LGV but I have been doing coach an bus work for years now
I started off driving in 2002 buses and went into the office in 2004
but I was always out driving when short of drivers or doing private hire work
I was moved into engineering side of the company till 2012
the lorry is a bit smaller the TDX27 Astromega I have been used to driving about

I will do my C+E when I have a few days to book it all up and see how that goes
the problem I have is most companys I have called up want 2 years on lorry before they will
even give me a interview :unamused:

I wonder if you would have got the same response if seen them face to face ?

I might have to do for a drive to see them all
I can do agency work also to get some time on hgv’s

Nothing beats going in person on the off chance of an interview. Even if its just to get your name down, sometimes first impressions and a chat are far better than any CV.

This time of year agency’s is a good path to get some experience though.

Seconded. Get out and knock doors don’t ring and certainly don’t email
