New driver with 6 points in IN10

Hi guys

Just joined the forum and wanted to steal a bit of ur knowledge.I passed my class 2 on 2010 willing to go for the c+e.

I came in the uk in 2008 and started working in TNT warehouse. While I was coming back home from work the police stopped me as i had no insurance in the car they put me 6 points in IN10 (no insurance). In 2010 passed my class 2 and in 2011 wanted to start new career as a lgv driver. So I kept applying, calling agencies… Some of them said that I had no experience ,some of them said it is because of the points.

So finally on 19 December 2012 I will have CLEAN license. and 2 years with the LGV .That means new jobs  .

So i came here for some information i need .I would like to know about the adr courses or what u need for the car transporter any certificates.

Sorry for my bad english, am spanish anyone who speaks spanish or not welcome.

thanks

I was taken on with 2xin10 when I first started Class 2. Fair enough they weren’t great jobs but they kept asking for me.

Now my licence is clean, I have lots more opportunities and hopefully you will too.

Best of luck

I moved on to Class 1 and have been with an agency regularly since.

all depend from agency police and company rules.but mainly no more for 6 point .DD,DR,IN NOT accepted.more clean ,much better.

Yes a clean licence is better but it does not make it impossible if you have points

Welcome

Others can offer advice on the ADR courses but I don’t believe that there’s any courses specifically for car transporters.

Anybody who can inform me about ADR types and which one are well paid,i would like to go for tanker,?How hard they are and howmuch would be?

In the LGV is better agency or permanent?

Many thanks

Try this for ADR

adr-courses.co.uk/

Not easy to get onto tankers btw as it is know as "dead man shoes "

But it does depend on where you live as to weather there is much ADR work

Remember with insurance purposes you almost always have to declare any points/convictions/accidents etc within the last 5 years.

Prob not but if caught then they will come down heavily on you & may be penalised or refused insurance or insurance cancelled & insurance comp sometimes share info like that so be careful

If you are involved in an accident they will find out
