Refuse collection vehicle driver jobs will often take on new Class 2 passes. Here’s an example.

When I was new, one of the first jobs the agencies offered me was driving the dustcarts.

So a quick update for you mate. I had a few shifts here and there with driverhire, house removals and some plant hire work. Just started at bensons for beds on 7.5t Monday-Friday. Took it with the hope of just building some experience and getting some hours on the tacho.

If you don’t mind mate, how much are they offering you at Benson and what are the hours? Or is that through the agency?
Also have you had enough agency work to bring in enough money you’ve not had to do anything else. I’ll be leaving full time employment to do agency work if i don’t get anything else once i pass my test, i don’t earn a massive amount now but i know that it covers everything I have to cover.
I’m just down the road in Kent and not far from Dartford so looking around there seems like plenty of work.

I would recommend signing up with 2/3 agencies because then you’ve got offers coming in from different sources. I was getting £11.50 with bensons but other agency workers were getting £12.50
I’ve also managed to secure myself a tipper job which I’m very happy about. A friend of a friend put in a word for me and I’ve just been out with him on his job to get a feel for it. Really looking forward to getting started.
