Hi guys. Just thought I would share my experience with you all.
December 2013 after 14 years of being a self employed courier, I decided to do my HGV and get a proper job.
Got the ball rolling straight away with medical and licence application.
Once the theory was complete I did a 4 day class 2 course and found employment the next week driving an 8 wheel truck for a recycling company.
Eight weeks later i returned and did my class 1 course. This week i put my notice in as i have found a job driving artic tankers for a local company. I start next week.
It can be done or am i just lucky. Keep trying guys it will come.
