New Class 1 driver's first job

Hello all

I have recently passed my Class 1 and have heard Downton are a good firm to work for and they will give new drivers a chance. Does anyone know anything about them? pay, conditions, daily workload etc?

Depends what depot you working out of.

There are places available out of Runcorn, which is where I was thinking of contacting. Again, they have been recommended by someone I work with

Think it’s £8 an hour out of there.Not sure about much else because I work out of Chatham.But you will be doing Reels of paper and magazines mainly I would of thought.Do a search on here.Fair bit about Downtons.Might have the answers you want.
