turn off to Avonmouth, straight on at big roundabout where the tobacco factory used to be.
Ignore all the 7.5 ton weight limit signs.
You come out by the suspension bridge.
Going south ,reverse way of above.
It’s been open a few weeks and my mate used it 4or 5 times but it takes home longer so he’s back to his old route

Because it’s fun.
Dave Docwra, the 7.5 t limit was there before the new link road was built ,to stop wagons doing a short cut to get to Bristol airport through residential areas .
The council have not removed the 7.5 signs and there is no sign about the new road when you go past the retail park with Cineworld in it.
Only one sign that says open to public.
But only visible a mile before the new road .
The new road is on the Western side .
The Eastern bypaas is the Longwell Green .
