Like it says, I’m more than a little agitated today! This is the day when we set up our new site in readiness for our first trainees tomorrow. Weeks and months of planning have gone into this and it feels a bit like a wedding. Full of “what ifs”.
So we’re starting off with just one truck and one trainer. What could possibly go wrong?!?
We have a team of 8 people going to the new site today to mark out the reversing area and set everything up to ensure a smooth start. Everything’s sorted. It’s all covered.
The feeling in my guts is not unlike you good folks taking a driving test!! All prepared but a bit apprehensive.
And it’s raining!
Best of luck to our first trainees at Peterborough.
Crazy offers still available if anyone’s hunting for a bargain.
Hope everything goes smoothly , best of luck with your new site , but am sure luck will not come in to it let alone be needed , Wishing you all the success possible

After a few visits to your Mansfield branch I couldn’t find a fault, from site to the staff and even the coffee, all perfect.
Best of luck with it.

I thought I’d leave checking the coffee to the coffee drinkers… my visit did include the tea-bags though.
Thanks Jennie for the kind words. I’m not used to being on the receiving end of supportive comments - and so many of them!
DJC - unrealistic to have a test centre at a new location as we have to give undertakings to DSA regarding throughput and clearly I cant do that until we’ve become established.
But I can tell you that the site is perfectly suitable and could be approved for testing in very little time when needs be.
I’m still doing amazing deals at PB if anyone wants to take advantage. These wont be available in a few weeks- they are there just as a starting promotion.
Thanks to everyone for their kind comments; I am genuinely grateful.
I’m already feeling loads better. The truck’s in the right place, Mod 4 trolley in the shed. Yellow lines for the reversing area done cos it managed to stay dry for a couple of hours.
My worries were all about maintaining the standards I set for myself and the staff. But I’m a happy bunny again now!
