Needful, Precious Things

I was trundling along today and got to thinking about some of the nice things I’ve bought to make life as a truck driver just that little bit nicer.

My faves are;

  1. Hours Guard (brilliant, brilliant piece of kit!)
  2. Fridge (Keeps my butties and milk fresh. Sometimes beer finds it’s way in there too! :wink:)
  3. Kettle (I have 2 of these…one 24V and one for the little gas stove)
  4. Sat Nav (say what you like about these, but I use mine almost every day and I love it)
  5. UK map with bridge heights and weight limits.

There’s other bits and bobs I have, but these are probably my best investments…what do have that you wouldn’t want to go without?

laptop…truckers map…tv dongle for laptop…3inch thick foam for bunk…oh and baby wipes!! :smiley:

truck and driver me i can’t live without it :sunglasses:

…not the famous bolt cutters then Phil? :wink: (although you probably wouldn’t want to combine them with the above activity :open_mouth: :laughing: )

1 Satnav …use it every day even if i know where i’m going(Rare) as it has speed cameras,and bluetooth for hands free.

2 Laptop mainly for tv , surfing the web,dvds,or google maps(tip for those that don’t know use satillite view so you can actually see the place that your going to instead of just the street map)

3 Flask

4 Spare pens, nothing worse than trying to scribe your name ect on your tacho with a paper clip or something when the flt driver at your last drop nicked your last one.

Satnav, Laptop and dongle, i,ve got a tv but can NEVER get a picture… :imp: :imp:
A change of clothes for the end of the day, makes a difference.
