Need to get usb tv card for my laptop to watch tv and all of them they have small aerial could any one point me in the right direction what would be the best buy for digital signal?
Just watch it via the internet on the play again system , you won’t need an aerial…
If you watch via internet you need mobile broadband on pay and go or monthly and you get limited allowance, so watching tv is not the best option as this use a lot of download data even if you get 15GB mobile broadband will only last few days and after that you will be paying 10p per MB, most programs lets say from BBC iplayer have 700MB and this is not live TV so you can’t watch World Cup, using usb laptop tv card you watch digital live tv for free, what they need is aerial that will pick signal in most places, usb tv card cost around £25 and if you get Hybrid one you able to get digital and analogue signal but you need to pay a bit more around £50, so I’m still not sure how the indoor aerial work you can get some around £20-£25 from argos maplin that have signal booster, I know there are (omnimax) or something like that but you looking around £80 for one a bit to much.
Maybe some one using one from this forum and could give advice where he got one from and how it works.
I use this setup…

It was a little poor when I had an XF, but now I’m in a FH the metal cab makes it work better, reception wise.
And as long as your laptop has a good graphics card in it, you’ll be fine.
The gfx card in my old HP laptop is only 64mb and it struggles with fast moving pictures. My newer HP has ATi gfx and it copes much better.
Oh and as this is my first post…
Hello all.
