Hi all
Just posting on the chance anyone has an empty load coming back from around Dorset area.
I have an American RV that needs collecting from Wimborne, Dorset to Roydon, Essex
Its 37ft long and 9.5 tons.
Can be driven on and off low loader etc
Collection cannot be Thursday or Friday and at least a days notice is needed.
Need it collected by the 25th May 2010
If no return loads any reasonable quote would be appreciated also.
Thanks in Advance
Al
Dependng on the length of the overhang it could be awkward to load on a stepframe lowloader trailer, there’s a good chance it will ground out at the tail. A picture might help.

Loaded a 32ft RV with a similar overhang on a low loader, it was tight but it did load. Attached is a picture, not the best to see the overhang but its all I have at the mo. Thanks
The diddly wheels don’t help matters.
32’ long would probably sit almost entirely on the flat deck whereas 37’ would be up on the swan neck. Our trailer has ramps that are about 10’ long but I reckon it’d all go wrong when trying to get the front onto the top deck as the ramps are very short and the angle would be much greater.
It might be worth trying someone like Boxhill caravans or a recovery firm with a sliding axle trailer.
Thanks for that, just called boxhill and they will get back to me on Monday.
why dont you drive it back■■?
Been used as a live in for several years so no MOT and the engine has only been turned over a few times in that time. Also the brake pipes are corroded, alternator not charging so it cant really be driven.
JJ72 on these forums may be able to help you.
stg.ltd.uk/trailer8.asp
may have something available.
or ontime-auto.com/OurFleet.asp
I doubt any of it will be cheap though
Cheers Wheelnut.
Ive requested a quote from stg. Is there anyway I can send a message to jj72?
Best quote so far has been £800.

I sent you a Private message, check the top left of the page when you log in again.
Just a quick message to say thanks for the help on this board and the private messages regarding collecting my RV.
In particular to Wheelnut and JJ72. RV was collected by Stathams who I cannot recommend highly enough.
Anyway cheers guys, all your help was much appreciated.

Its not too bad. Been lived in for the last 5 years, however hopefully it wont take too much to get back on the road.

Was it someone in my signature who lived in that one?
No, the last owner run a nursery, however apparently it was once owned by Carl Fogarty.
