Need advice after accident in spain

i had an accident in spain on wednesday, a mobile crane came off a low loader and hit my truck on the n1 between miranda del ebro and burgos. the truck is a total right off, i lost all my gear and have 12 stitches on my forehead. my boss has been great. i would be greatful for any advice on a good solicitor or any body who has had experience of this. thanks in advance

Wouldnt the insurers of the truck deal with this for you. The gear you lost should be covered by your houshold contents insurance.

the truck insurance covers the truck, trailer and load. my boss has now told me that my gear is covered by his travel insurance as are my medical expences etc. i am now on statuary sick pay for the foreseeable future and need to look at claiming for my injuries. realise that this thread could be moved to the safety/legal forum but posted on here as the accident was in spain.

skids I am glad you are in one piece and hope you will be soon back on the road. This is the downside of international work . When the fit hits the shan its slo-mo for claims because of all the legal/ language complications. I am sure that when the boys come back at the weekend they will have some answers to give you… Your companys insurance is place where I would start. Or even your trucking company. On monday get in touch with Citizens Advice ,best of luck.

Cant really help you, my only experience of an accident abroad was being cut up by a car and being dragged off to Hospital. As soon as Transmed were mentioned, the surgeon was sharpening his knives to cure a 30 year old birth defect :stuck_out_tongue:
