Nearly killed one!

i think its getting worse just lately, i come back into calais on thursday morning and they were pulling a lad down off the top of a food tanker ,i dont know how he thought he was gonna get across up there !

It is used as a stopgap, they run up the tank ladder and dive across onto the top of a curtain or tilt, cut a hole in the roof and drop inside. The trailer is still sealed and the sides are left intact. I have had several trying to do it with the tanks.

As you know, the CO2 monitors are useless.

a couple of weeks ago while booking in at p+o one got on my rear axle the booking clerk told me i asked if he called security he said nothing so i got out with my trusty lump of wood and persuaded him (with a dig in the ribs) to get off my trailer.
CRS only take them back to diesel alley and let them go.

On the Boat, a year or so ago and got chatting too another Driver, who told me he had one guy jump up up on his footstep and grap his mirror arm ,while moving, he hit a bump and the guy fell off , bump ,bump, bump, under the trailer.Dead of course. He call’s the Police, Police say it was ‘Suicide’ ,and he is free to go. Driver get’s back to England , and is still worried about this , so goes to Police in Dover, who contact Police in Calais, Who confirm story and he has nothing to worry about. As i say was told this on the boat by the driver.

100 percent true story then !!

He didnt seem like a b/s merchant , but i only just found out about santa :frowning:

I am surprised Neil got one in the IDS in The Dunes! That is one I would consider safe seeing as that security guy walks around with that bloody huge dog all night.

austin it was on the roundabout under the road into the port as you go up the ramp into the terminal

Didn’t stop them cutting my padlock presumably with boltcutters and throwing it away Austin, big dog or no. :open_mouth:
They obviously worked out that I was on my way home not to the UK after seeing inside the empty box.

Found out what about Santa ?

You may have noticed that the French have prevented parking on the road from the dock, there are new Armco barriers for the full length from the Hoverport to the A16 split.

The Armco has taken the hard shoulder away where most of the immigrants were seen running wild between the parked trucks. It will probably force more trucks into the security parking at Transmarck.

has anyone used that new “safe parking” at transmarc
and if so was it safe
and ps can you buy tax there for belg/nl

I havent used the Calais stop yet but have used the similar Sanef in Valenciennes. The place is very good, with airport security & an airlock gate. You get a ticket with barcode to open the doors to return to truck from shop/ restaurant, make sure you dont lose it. so if anyone nicks anything it is another driver who is parked there with you. You can also pay for this one with your Telepeage tag.

this is due to the fact the french government is making it illegal to park on hard shoulders and slip roads for safety reasons i was told this by a french woman at the new all4trucks truck stop

I have malcolm twice now but it was free then now its 1st hr free then 2.50euros for every hr after. Its worth the money in my opinion and its as safe as houses as soon as you go in a security guard checks under your truck for illegals and at night ive seen 3 guards, also the fence is electrified.

That and the fact that half those pricks parked with their unlit trailers protruding into the road as a ferry disembarked 200 tired truck drivers and 150 car drivers who suddenly realise they drive on the right in France

Exactly Wheelnut but then most of them are or were our eastern block counterparts
