Naughty or Nice Move?

Quackers:
For you “out of the box thinkers” and “initiative users” can’t you see that by extension your antics will eventually block the whole roundabout up?
A couple of artics and a van driver and 2 or 3 cars think it’s a good idea to run down the right hand lane, go round the roundabout then take the first exit.
Only problem is that that slip road is backed up. That’s the reason for the queue in lane one of the approach road!
So, you get to the exit and you can’t continue - because it’s BACKED UP! So you wait there with the other artic behind you and the van and the cars and ultimately block the whole roundabout.
Nice move guys! Very “professional” driving that is.
If I were a copper I’d prosecute the lot of you.

Under what offence exactly would you prosecute■■? Serious question if you have the balls to respond. Your example is pure guess work, what if traffic coming from the opposite side was already blocking, maybe traffic from the right was blocking too?? We should lock them all up eh?
Let me help with some charges for you to ponder while you wait to be shouted down by mummy for your cookies and milk…
The offence of changing your mind on a roundabout?
The offence of wanting to turn left when the route straight on is blocked however the filter to turn right would allow you to come round the roundabout, gain priority and exit right, any delay actually would be caused by traffic from the right already blocking the roundabout?
The offence of using the laws of the road to keep moving?

Using your logic, if I approach a four way roundabout with a delay for traffic going straight on, but a clear right filter lane to let me go left then I should just add to the delay and stay in the queue waiting to go forward or I must be prosecuted, you utter t o o l.

Sorry Quackers, I get it that you are trolling but please try harder, no swearing, no antagonising, just a display of idiocy. 1 out of 10.
However, 10 out of 10 for being a pillock so every cloud, silver lining etc etc…
I take it the half terms are staggered across the country so hopefully only a few days left for you boy.

Balls to reply? Certainly I have.
Read the whole thread and you will see a link supplied by member tachograph to another thread discussing the same issue. Then read that thread.
Plenty of options to charge I’d say.
Your post is a little derogatory. Apt username though.

Wardaddy:
A34 North at a crawl this afternoon, traffic backing up the A420 to the interchange for over half a mile. I come down lane two, right around the roundabout and onto the A34 North sliproad. Had an angry toot from a couple of drivers who clearly felt cheated I’d jumped the traffic. I held nobody up, not my problem I had more road awareness than the others.
Was I right or wrong?

Nowt wrong with a crazy Ivan.

I mentioned this subject a while back and got mixed responses. I felt I’d invented it when I did it (of course turned out I hadn’t annoyingly). No one taught me, just worked out the dodge and kept it to myself.

Contrary to previously suggested I didn’t do this only to run into another traffic jam, I sailed away every time. It was my Friday night ace card. I didn’t feel bad I’d cut some que as had spent a day being cut up by said wolves now queuing, and knew given half a chance the lemmings wouldn’t be sitting in lines out of politeness anyway, they just hadn’t thought of it.

That’s a great name for it. Saddens me that some people won’t get the reference

spot on drive :grimacing: do it all the time, the other is on and off slip roads when motor way is at a stand still :grimacing:

Garage forecourts near busy roundabouts are another one. There’s one at Oxford where BMW and BP are on the A40. Cut through the forecourt and on towards the A34.

Legally he did nothing wrong, (if I get it right) he approached in the right lane and did a right turn, ok it was +360° but still a right turn.
Using initiative I would say, I done similar for years coming into Aberdeen when everybody was sat in right lane to turn right, I came up inside turned left at 1st r/a, 50 yds right round and straight over original r/a :sunglasses: . Depending of course what mood or I was in a hurry or not.
It’s now traffic lights on a x road.

It’s choice if you want to sit in a queue, then sit, no probs, but don’t knock those that show a bit of thought.
Especially if it aint affecting you :bulb:

Just read the link to the other thread and noticed I told the same story then :unamused:
