Good day all
I’m helping a non-computer capable ex tanker driver restore some diecast tankers in the liveries of those he drove. We have a photo of a truck with the right livery but can’t find out the colour scheme… This is from the period when BP had bought out National Benzole… I think in the early 1980s

I would like your help with the colours of the tanker and in particular the stripe. We’re pretty sure that Mr Mercury was the usual white and blue but the shading looks different here, so perhaps he was different too.
Can anyone help please?
My old tanker friend is Pete Farrow who drove tankers for 30 years
Thanks in advance
Mr Mercury?
I think you’ll find the logo was Blue and Yellow
Heyup
Thanks for that - the one I have is this…
But your colours seem more logical on that truck
It’s more the tank body & the stripe and the lettering colours I need
Cheers Chris
tank body was white, wheels bumpers, mudgaurds pipework ets battleship grey
Excellent - thanks very much. My diecast restoring ex-tanker driver pal will be very happy

These may help and Sniffy will probably have some more, do a search on the tanker thread, your mate may recognise someone or something.
Thanks again gents - that’s terrific Chris
