Name the road? Solved Twice!

It is the A69 between Carlisle and Newcastle, actually it is the single carriageway A69 between Bardon Mill and Haydon Bridge. The smoke warning is for the preserved railway steamers.

That photo is taken heading West bound towards a set of houses called the strand where there is a blind dip in the road (scene of several accidents with muppets overtaking and not knowing the road). This is on the A69 just outside Bardon Mill and the smoke sign is actually there because about a mile along the road, set down the bank side on the left is the old “Errington Reay” pottery works with its kilns for making salt glazed pots. It is the only one left in the UK, and it still regularly fires the kilns up and depending upon the wind direction the smoke drifts over the A69 - hence the need for the sign.
