He said people would not leave stable, better paid jobs abroad to ‘pee in a bottle on the M25’.
He told Metro.co.uk: ‘Boris Johnson needs to stop looking at pictures of Britain as a place of glory and empire and start looking in the mirror and see it is not what it used to be.
‘Britain is just one of many countries [for drivers] and in many ways the job market is less attractive.
‘The pay isn’t the greatest, the standards for drivers are terrible and there is not a lot of respect, not only for Eastern European drivers but in general, Britain is very classist.’
Tomasz said truckers regularly face hours or even days of delays waiting for goods to be loaded and unloaded at warehouses in the UK, when they can be subject to humiliation and abuse.
While parking at service stations in the rest of Europe is free, British drivers are charged around £30 a night for the privilege and often don’t have access to showers or toilets.

While he does highlight a couple of good points but who are these people abusing and humiliating him at warehouses? Most places where I tip in the UK the warehouse operatives are all Eastern European

Doesn’t stop all the crap we have to put up at RDCs and the ‘where the hell am I gonna park tonight’ problem.
He could well be making the same if not more where he is without IR35.

They diss each other like rappers, no love lost amongst our EE bro`s innit…
From my interaction`s last weekend, the Romanians seem to be filling the safety boots of the Poles who have gone back, and there are plenty of Poles still here, I have a few as tenants, and they have made it very clear that they are staying

I think at the moment if you contact the press say you’re an EE then no checks will be made on what you’re saying, I agree about the animosity between various EE countries, nearly 6m have applied for settled status hardly a mass exodus. Some of the problems we have here in regard to parking etc are exactly the same as on the continent and warehouse staff can be just as fickle there as here
