So about a month ago, I recieved a call off a UK retail outlet wondering if I had my class 2 licence yet, Which i didnt. Ive been a bus & coach driver for 3 years now so I had all the city and motorway driving experience they was after. I served 3 years for this company in the warehouse after leaving school, so I knew the job and they knew me. I used to envy the truck drivers as I wanted to do it so much. Anyhows I found an opportunity for Cat D driving and took it, which has proved to be valuable. They agreed to hire an agency driver to cover my position and take the advertisment down, which I cant thank them enough. Im only 22 and to have been phoned up and offered an above average paid job and a 62 plate DAF CF, Monday to friday job is exceptional to me. I gained my cat C licence in 3 days, that is all. I knew my dream job was at stake, I had so much pressure to pass. I start on the 16th september, just wondering if we have any advice or tips? The vast majority is delivering to the main city shopping centres underground so it shouldnt be a problem finding them.
What sort of homley things and gadgets do you have in your truck?
When im doing one of my nights out during the week, when Ive parked up and take my daily rest in driving, do I remove my digi card or simply leave this on the ‘bed’ or ‘break’ setting?
