My "Office" for 10 and a 1/2 years!

Foden (obviously!) Reg C 433 LHE, Photographed during the Construction of Carsington Water, Derbyshire. Rolls 265 Li, Fuller 9 speed, Eaton axles.
I was given it new in May 1986 and it was sold on in November 1996. Mileage over 1,000,000 km’s, (numerous tachos), engine untouched, not even an injector, for 10 years by which time when running from Ashbourne to St Clears with tarmac it was using 1 gallon of oil per day. A S/Hand engine was fitted and then the truck was sold. 2 clutches and 1 steering box plus a few brake linings!
Not the fanciest truck, and you distance men might laugh at it, but it never let me down and earned me a wage, and that was all I ever asked of it.

Yes I have a few, will post some tomorrow. It was only about 4 miles from our quarry but to keep the “natives” friendly we had to take about a 3 mile diversion!
