my new video...

morning folks, well after version one went totally out of time and i had a little fall out with the software, i got stuck back into it the other day and here’s the result…

critique is welcome as long as it is serious, there are a couple of things i want to improve on in future videos but its a learning curve as they say, so for now i’m quite happy with this one (ideally not just loading in area3 would have been a bonus!)

And so you should be happy with it mate - it’s a cracking effort. What set up do you use? How did you mount the cameras and what was total cost (not being nosey as I’d like a crack at it myself)?

until christmas i’ve always used windows live moviemaker, which is free - which as a result doesnt do owt special, now i have cyberlink power director 11 ultimate suite - which i’m still learning to use on a more technical level, my camcorder is just a jvc everio bottom of the range jobbie - i’ve had the welder out and made a 90degree magmount to stick it to the side of stuff - however, it doesnt like to focus in the dark and hates the cold and shuts down when it gets cold or thinks its been dropped - despite me turning the drop detection off!! this can really be a hinderance, i really need a pair of gopro’s that i can use at the same time in different locations, but it just having the money to buy them! :unamused:

Brilliant mate, great watch

That is seriously good. Real pro film maker quality.

well done pal that was top

Top notch six great sound track what was is ?

Seriously impressive.

Did you have a pre-conceived idea of all the shots you wanted or did you just take lot’s of footage and then stitch it together with the editor?

A very commendable effort indeed Sir.

I am a little concerned at the speed the traffic was moving at when coming into Southampton though.

Really professional look to that vid. Good stuff.

It’s been over 10 years since I last visited SCT and it looks like things have changed but I see the place is still still being invaded by painted tyres,

Cheers

the track is by orbital, halcyon( on and on), i think i’m right in saying its a classic from the 90’s  its a classic in my eyes, i have a bit of software that records anything you play on your computer, so i just look stuff up on youtube an then record it. happy days.

a bit 50/50, i had an idea of where i wanted to put the camara whilst riding around getting boxes etc, there would have been some better ones if the camara was more suited to being outside, instead i kept going to retrieve it only to find it had shut down - thats seriously annoying, i actually came very close to being weekended there which is how i came to be on the quayside, i’d parked up, next thing the boat turned up whilst i was titting about taking photo’s and stuff… security turned up as it got dark and informed me your not allowed camaras or any form of recording equipment on ABP ports. oops. so the boat bit at the start worked out really well, then i just had a look what i had got and tried to make it work with the music. felixstowe is next - got a right money shot in mind for that.

Well done that man, it looks like a professional made it! I particularly liked the footage with the camera facing backwards, soundtrack was cool too mate.

Enjoyed the video, nice one…

tuneage and good vid cheers dude

Loved it. Well done. Brilliant video.
