‘Be passionate and be involved in what you believe in. And do it as throughly, honestly and fearlessly as you can’ - Marie Colvins mother
She also said after inviting the press to her home after her daughters death - ‘The reason I’ve been talking to all you guys is that I don’t want my daughters legacy to be ‘no comment’ … Because she wasn’t a no comment person’.
Shame she had to die before getting real recognition, but that’s not what it’s about.
She was seeking glory and paid the price. Plenty folk in Syria not seeking glory but still paying the price.
I’am not a fan of journalists or think there anything special. Nice work if you can get it though

She was very highly regarded in her profession though and well respected for her writing. Let’s hope something good comes of her death and that Syria can move forward

Bit of a hard harsh and nasty comment IMHO, if it wasn’t for people like her how would we ever get to find out about what’s going on in the world. Or perhaps you don’t care until it happens to you.
Just my opinion, besides, she was way too ugly for telly.

Errrrr, I think you’ll find the Sunday Times is what we call a newspaper.
Oh sorry.
I thought you were talking about that old bird with the eyepatch who was on the bbc sometimes.
I was and she’d been working for the Sunday Times for 25 years. 25 years of helping persecuted people get their story out to the world.
