i have just turned on my Xbox360 and got the dreaded Red Ring of death, i felt as if a piece of me died!
does anyone know who to send it to to repair? it needs to be quite cheap and a reliable service. we are entering a quiet period in our job and can spend a day or 2 parked somewhere and i need this to help pass the hours.

ay up lee, depends how old it is, according to my brother, it should have a three year warranty (which was extended from two years due to rrod) so take it back to where you bought it from, and they should take care of it, otherwise, any GAME store game.co.uk/Help/StoreFinder.aspx will sort you out

i bought it when they first came out (about 5 years ago) so well out of warranty by now, i have tried game and they passed me on to someone else, about £57 plus courier fees so i thought that was a bit pricey seeing as you can buy a new console for just over £100 nowadays.

You may well have sorted the problem by now but when mine went I done as removalboy has said and called Microsoft. They send a UPS man out to your door with a box to put your Xbox in then he takes and ships it to Germany. Didnt take long, I had it back within 10 days. If they cant repair it they replace it, least thats what they told and done for mine…complete new unit.
Dont send ya hard drive though.

I’ve owned both, currently still got my ps3, wouldn’t recommend either, but I’m not really a console person.
Had the xbox360 when it 1st came out, bought the hard drive, hd cable and the hd-dvd player for it, still cost less than the ps3 did this december 
Have had 4 360’s!!! fixed 2 of them myself 2 in bin but thats because i kept buying 2nd hand ones. look at youtube but the fix it yourself route is bloody tempromental sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. I ended up buying a new xbox for home and gave the repaired one to little one and the other repaired one is in cab.
