My first one , go on then wwi? (completed by gonzo)

Easy one as it’s my first one

Just pick a harbour that Stena sail from? :unamused: :unamused:

Sorry, don’t do ferrys…

Harwich?

Liverpool?

no and no i’m afraid.

Now, I could be wrong as I don’t frequent ports with work, and the last time I went on a ferry was over a decade ago…

But. It’s a Stena Ship, it’s on the Scandinavian side of things and the run is “Göteborg - Travemünde”.

There are two ships that match the rather unique structure. Stacks at the rear, superstructure at the front and those red thingies, which I guess are lifeboats…

You have a choice of the “Stena Freighter”, “Stena Carrier” and Stena Carrier 2". These are all at 21,000t. They’re registered in 2004 and came from an italian manufacturer.

I could be wrong of course

So, I would assume that “Goteborg” and “Travemunde” are two ports?!

Therefore, that is my answer, well, two of them, together

I can’t help with the picture on this thread, but I can help with the ports you mentioned.

Göteborg (correctly written) is I believe the Swedish name for what we call Gothenburg- which is a very large port on the west coast of Sweden.

Travemünde is a smallish Baltic Sea port in northern Germany near to Lübeck, which is to the north-east of Hamburg.

I don’t believe there’s a ferry service from Gothenburg to Travemünde, but I could be wrong on that one.

My suggestion would be to drive to the top of Denmark (Frederikshavn) because you would only need a four-hour crossing. two hours across the Kattegat, then another two hours to sail up the fjord. I’ve done that one.

Saratoga.even tho you said you don’t do ferrys… I’m mighty impressed with your answer, obviously well researched but sorry mate

the prize goes to gonz, bang on the money, well done. The pic was taken from our loading point on the dock
