In November 1987 my mate and I got jobs driving the very first two DAF 95’s on the road in the UK, we used to go to Bridgewater each night and back MK empty, no limiters back then, comming back empty we would see who could take the curve under the M5/M4 junction as we passed from the M5 northbound onto the M4 eastbound, we did have empty flat tri-axles, my best was 80 mph before I cracked. A very foolish thing to do but foolhardy young idiots do that sort of thing, now I wouldn’t try it over 75![]()
