Let me explain last year June 2008 I had an accident in Belgium, yes I side swiped a car I did not see (the account of the accident is on here somewhere)
So last Tuesday I get a summons to attend Gent magistrate court on Monday this week plenty of notice there then!!! To defend a charge of driving without due care
So instead of attending I wrote in English an email explaining why I would not be there.
Anyway I found out my outcome today
Fined €400.oo half of it suspended for 2 years with costs which I don’t know at the moment, anyone know what they’re likely to be?
And guess where I’m going next week …yep Gent!!!
