Hi MT

All the best of luck tomorrow.

When you pass please give the orange beastie a kiss from me as well.

Chris and the beastie got me through my test as well so you’ll be fine

Cate x

Thankyou Cate if I pass I will definately do that.
Thanks again Thomas

I’m now going in with the mentality that I can do it as long as.I don’t bugger it up.

Correct you can do it, but forget the thoughts of buggering it up.
Think instead about how you will get it right, as that’s what you’re currently doing!!!

And when you pass, yes lick a few flies off the tangerine for me too!

Thankyou Evil8Beezle I appreciate your imput through my course.
If I pass I’ll probably get a restraining order for kicking the tangerine
Thanks again Thomas

Ok so today was test day and unfortunately I failed  4 minors and 1 serious
Absolutely gutted I did all the tricky little turns fine including the burger king turn.

As I was coming up a hill a van was reversing out and I was let into the right lane.I took it and drove through.

Thing is as soon as I did it I said I have failed bugger.

Ok Now thats over I have rebooked in again.

Can I just say that the whole team at Peter Smythe are brilliant and I wouldnt ever go anywhere else now I have found it.
Chris my trainer was great and hes a really nice guy. Luckily I have him for an hour before the test.

I have been treated with respect and even when I made mistakes rather than getting an earful I was getting told a different way of looking at it.

Please anyone thinking of going there please do.

If the lady I spoke to this morning is reading this. I took your advice to keep it slow and that worked out well its just the one mistake, Also hope your next one goes well

Regards Thomas

Bad luck!

Hopefully you will get it next time. Also you know what you did so that’s a good thing. Im sure you will get it next time

I am sorry you failed today but we learn more by our mistakes than our successes so next time you will be a lot better

Keep your spirits up and best of luck for the next go

Sorry to hear that pal, but on the bright side you know what did you wrong, and probably only did it in a moment of panic due to nerves.
What you need to do now is realise that you are more than capable of passing next time, and therefore have absolutely no need to worry or panic about what might happen…

I suspect that if you were not in a test situation and less stressed, you would have probably thought clearer and done the right thing!

Best of luck for the retest…

Hi Thomas

I’m gutted for both of us :frowning: I really thought today was going to be the day…roll on retests and i’m sure we’ll both do it!

Jen

Bad luck pal, can’t really add any more than anyone else really, but as EB says you are more than capable and it only takes one mistake or one bad decision to cost you the test.

But on the bright side you knew it as soon as you did it, so yeah I would agree probably the nerves got the better of you.

Best of luck for your retest pal.

Thankyou I am just so gutted. I was hoping to be looking at jobs today rather than thinking I’ve got to go back to work next week.
Thanks again I hope I can do it next time regards Thomas

Thankyou I appreciate it.

I must admit the things going around it my head at the moment are " maybe it was a fluke you got 4 minors you’ll never be able to do that again. Etc etc"

It’s just so hard thinking if I stayed put I would be looking at different jobs today rather than not.

I have put straight back in though and I can afford to do a test every month till I pass the ■■■■ thing.

Another thing is that I honestly don’t think we need examiners anymore.

Go out with a fully trained instructor and once you are proficient in say reversing. They sign you off.
It would save alot of nerve fails
Thanks again Thomas

Thanks simcor.
It seemed to be a good drive apart from that.
I had the left turning at the cost cutter along the road from the test centre.
Then I had the burger king turn.
I had a few other tight ish turns but grrr.
Anyway I won’t think of it anymore onwards and upwards eh.
Thanks again Thomas

I’ve only just got the result as I’m away and there’s no internet where I’ve been on the Western Isles. But I’ve got it now (at least, for the time being). Really sorry to see it didn’t work out but pleased you have a positive attitude and you know you’re capable of doing it.

All the very best next time, Pete
