Must have kit

What are the items you feel are a must have as a part of your own personal kit for when out tramping?

i.e. sleeping bag, t.v, etc

also bits for the wagon like spare bulbs, fuses etc

What has come in handy over the years?

I am asking as I passed last Friday and I start a new job w/c 2nd July tramping. Never done it before just done the odd night out here and there.

Thanks

Bin liners and bog roll.

Every time I’m forced to crap in a carrier bag I die a bit inside. :frowning:

I’ve thought about putting a motorhome cassette toilet in with the cassette empty port through a sidelocker flap but never got round to it. Think the £400 cost of the toilet put me off.

Proper bedding, I cant be doing with a sleeping bag. If I’m out all week I want to feel at home, not like im crammed into a tent. Gas stove, pan for stove, food for the pan. A lot of drinking water, both to drink, and also to wash your self with and your pan after cooking. Laptop with mobile internet dongle and either an inverter or cigerette lighter socket power adapter for it.

Bits for the wagon are down to the owner of the wagon, not you, if he won’t supply it neither do you.
Rest is down to you, sleeping gear, toiletries and spare clothes, tea making and cooking facilities, cutlery, entertainment whether that be books, laptop, telly, dvd player or a mix to give you options (along with power supplies obviously).
Pee bottle and plastic bags for emergencies are also good.
To be honest the list gets just too long if you live in your wagon all week, if you use it at home then its not unreasonable to have it in your truck.

All good advice.

Personally, I find those lap trays ( the ones with little polystyrene balls inside) make a handy flat surface when placed on the steering wheel.

Also, those omnimax aerials with boosters are great if you carry a telly.

Dont forget the kettle.
