Coming out of Centra Skemersdale last night round the rounabout on Glendale road I thought to myself this must be the biggest round about I`ve ever come across :exclamation:

No doubt some body will find one bigger :laughing:

I’d like to nominate M53 junction 3 on the Wirral.

About a third of a mile all the way around it, I’d say. :sunglasses:

A50 A38 roundabout at Burnaston is pretty big. About 0.9 of a k all the way round!

I thought exactly the same when I was up at Skem a few weeks ago! Wierdest road system I’ve seen in a while - you could get two footy pitches on it… ( if you wanted to!)

the a26 larne road roundabout ballymena is pretty big

i’ve heard it said that the old Marsh Mills rbt in Plymouth used to be the biggest in europe. its shrunk down a fair bit with the building of the A38 Parkway in the 80’s.

Did they actually shrink it or is it just that it is now hidden by the parkway flyovers. It is still huge

thats between 07.30 and 10.00 and 16.00 to 18.30. :wink:

Was there for the first time tonight, agree, it is big, but more of an ovalabout, can get some good speed up on the long sides, bit tighter round the ends though!

only between 0730-1000…etc!

Another one that’s pretty big is the Armley Gyratory in Leeds. Apart from one straight bit where it runs next to the railway its near a cirlce too.

armley gyratory also as a gas works in the middle of it…
