I’m 23 years old. I love everything there is about lorries. I love the noise, the feeling of being in charge of one. I read all the trucking magazines. There’s more to life than money!!!

This is true, but unfortunately, you’ve got to go to work to earn the money to pay for it
You have a point
Wow sounds just like me 24 years ago (infact alot longer than that but as a kid doesnt count I supose)…lets see if your still the same in the next 24 years…it can be a job that either makes you or breaks you…you will either love it or hate it…Im still doing it so I will let you guess what it did to me
Thanks paul
there’s good money in driving lorries. where else can you earn £30000 to £40000 for sitting on your arse?

well now ya come to mention it…
lmfao kidding I know what you mean I have been a hgv driver for last couple years always been a dream of mine absolutely love it and today is the start of bigger better things in the future to come as I start My ADR course this morning.
(including tanks and packages)
Money has never been the catalyst to inspire lorry drivers,it helps if you get paid even better if you get paid a lot might even help if the rig isn’t a pile of junk and the odd thank you doesn’t go amiss.I think it is fair to say most of us like our own company, probably not overly sociable certainly not surrounded 24/7 by friends just communicate with them now and again. The windscreen is our private window on the world and we can sit and watch the world go by,smug looking down on all the peasants, yup! not really too bad a job all said and done, could be better…could be worse.

Sore arse cheeks after 60plus hours
You’ve gotta find the happy medium. I like my job. It gives me my weekends with my family and enough money to be comfortable. It’s a happy medium. I would love to do F1 or concerts, plus Lukes videos make me think I could handle that for a life too, but I can’t be away from my kids. Maybe one day. Also I would like the money tesco drivers enjoy, the car park at harlow looks like west hams training ground. But I’m not prepared to work such unsociable hours for it. Plus I couldn’t hack the h&s bs
